The best craps bets
Some crap bets are much better than the others. If you learn the bets in the below chart you can pretty much ignore the other bets as they have higher house advantage.

Pass line bet
This is a bet that you will throw a 7 or 11 on the come-out roll or will make the point in subsequent rolls. 1:1 1.41% - Don't pass bet
This is a bet that you will throw a 2, 3 or 12 on the come-out roll or will not make the point in subsequent rolls. 1:1 1.36% - Come bet
This is a bet that the next roll will produce a 7, 11 or alternatively, a point will be established which will be made in subsequent rolls. 1:1 1.41% - Don't Come Bet
This is a bet that the next roll will produce a 2, 3 or 12 or alternatively, a point will be established which will NOT be made in subsequent rolls. 1:1 1.36% - Odds Bet
These are additional bets made on an established: Pass, Donft Pass, Come or Donft Come bet. How much you can bet depends, some casinos allow 2 times the initial wager some 3 times.
1:1 Depends on how many times you may double your initial bet. With 3 times the initial wager you can reduce the house edge by more than half. - Place Bet on a 6 or 8
These are a bet that the appropriate number (6 or 8) will be rolled before the next seven. It pays even money. 1:1 1.52%
Craps strategy tips
- Find games that let you bet 3 times your bet on "odds" rather than the usual 2 times.
- Always take the "odds" bet, and bet the maximum allowed.
- There are lots of other bets not mentioned on this page try and consider those bets as sucker bets.
